The basics
What is embroidery digitizing?
Embroidery digitizing is the process of converting artwork into a stitch file that tells an embroidery machine where to place every stitch, which stitch type to use, and in what order. A good digitized file accounts for fabric, size and thread so the design sews cleanly without puckering, gaps or thread breaks.
Auto-digitizing software guesses. Our digitizers plan each design by hand: the right underlay, push-and-pull compensation, density and stitch sequence for the fabric you name. The result runs on your machine the first time.

Built for production
Digitized for how it will actually be sewn
One logo needs a different build for a structured cap, a performance polo and a fleece blanket. Tell us the garment — we build for it.
Caps and hats
Center-out sequencing, cap-specific underlay and reduced density so designs sit flat on curved, structured fronts.
Polos and performance wear
Lighter density and stabilizing underlay to stop puckering on knits and moisture-wicking fabric.
Jackets, canvas and heavy fabric
Stronger underlay and full coverage for bold, crisp results on thick material.
Towels and fleece
Knockdown stitches and topping-friendly construction so the nap doesn’t swallow your design.
Small text
Lettering built for legibility from 0.25" tall — and an honest heads-up if text is too small to sew well.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How much does embroidery digitizing cost?
Left-chest and cap logos start at $12 for up to 10,000 stitches. Medium designs start at $20 and jacket backs at $35. Extra stitches beyond a tier are $1.00 per 1,000. You approve a firm price before work starts.
How long does embroidery digitizing take?
Standard delivery is 12–24 hours after you approve the quote. Rush delivery is 6 hours. Complex designs such as detailed jacket backs or photo-realistic work may take longer — we’ll tell you upfront.
Can you digitize from a low-quality image or photo?
Yes. We can digitize from a blurry JPG, screenshot or phone photo. We redraw the design before digitizing, so the file is clean even if the source isn’t.
What’s the difference between auto-digitizing and hand digitizing?
Auto-digitizing software converts shapes into stitches automatically and often produces thread breaks, puckering and poor small text. Hand digitizing means a person chooses underlay, stitch types, angles and sequence for your fabric and size, so the design sews cleanly.
Do you offer free edits?
Free edits until you’re satisfied with the same design. If a file doesn’t sew right on your machine, send a photo of the stitch-out and we’ll fix it at no charge.
Can one file be used on a cap and a shirt?
Usually not. Caps need different sequencing and underlay than flat garments. We recommend a cap-specific version — ask for both when you order and we’ll quote them together.
